Elevating Safety with Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Los and Co Drammen

At Schrodinger, we typically collaborate with high-end chefs and luxury hotels, crafting visually stunning content. However, it's equally important for us to work on campaigns with a global impact. This is where corporate projects come into play, offering us the opportunity to make a meaningful difference on a larger scale.


Project Overview:

The "Dare to be Aware" campaign is all about making safety a core value. Featuring 12 real employees as actors, 6 crew members, drone footage, and an array of heavy-duty machinery, we pulled out all the stops to create a campaign that’s both impactful and memorable.

Each visual depicted workers with simulated injuries, representing common accidents to drive the message home: please, pay attention to you but also to your coworkers. Our two-day shoot in Zeebrugge captured the raw, unfiltered reality of their daily operations, making the campaign as authentic as it is compelling.

In the end, not only did we produce a visually stunning campaign, but we also demonstrated our efficiency as a content production agency by delivering multiple types of media that Wallenius Wilhelmsen could use across various platforms.

Collaboration with Los and Co:

Los & Co, the Norwegian agency known for their stellar strategy, art direction, and branding, took charge of the artistic vision and brand identity. They brought us, Schrodinger, on board to handle the nuts and bolts of content creation.

Our task: production of images, props, video post-production, and making-off documentation. This collaboration allowed us to focus on what we do best – creating stunning content that tells a story.

Production Highlights:

The "Dare to be Aware" campaign came to life over two intense days at the bustling port of Zeebrugge. Here’s a glimpse of what we produced:

  • Print Campaigns: Bold, dramatic visuals for posters and magazines, emphasizing the serious consequences of not paying attention.

  • Social Media Content: Engaging posts showcasing the logistics hubs and the heart of the company's operations.

  • Making-Of Video: A behind-the-scenes look at how we brought the campaign to life.

  • Drone Footage: Captivating aerial shots that added a dynamic perspective.

  • Interviews and Corporate Photos: Authentic stories and images of the employees, used across social media and in their annual report.


On-Set Adventures:

We turned real employees into campaign stars, complete with makeup and props to simulate injuries. Shooting on-site at the port meant we adhered to strict safety protocols – high-visibility vests, safety boots, and protective eyewear: just like a real docker. One memorable moment involved pausing our shoot to let a gigantic container ship unload its cargo of cranes and heavy machinery, proving that even during production, safety comes first.

AI in the Creative Process:

To kickstart the project, we harnessed the power of AI as a creative tool to develop the initial storyboard. This innovative approach allowed us to efficiently visualize the campaign’s direction and ensure alignment with Los & Co’s artistic vision from the get-go.

Results and Impact:

The campaign was a massive hit and earned widespread acclaim within Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Cherry on the cake: Zero accident on the following quarter and we can’t help to think that maybe we played a tiny teeny role in achieving that. The initiative underscored the company’s unwavering commitment to safety and the wellbeing of their employees.

This project was a milestone for Schrodinger, marking our first global corporate campaign. Working alongside Los & Co elevated our game, allowing us to concentrate on the technical execution and deliver high-impact content. We learned that creativity has no bounds, even in the corporate world.
