We have travelled all around Belgium to capture many restaurants and food producers for Le Vif - Week-end
The magazine has a strong editorial line focused on food and gastronomy:
a combination of beautiful images and good words.
The process is simple : the food journalist, Michel Verlinden selects the table and we illustrate the restaurant and the chef’s vibe.
Le Vif has a unique approach with freelance photographers: trust.
They give full creative freedom to the photographer.
So, except for the fact that they ask for vertical and wide angles, the brief is basically: show us your vision of the restaurant.
This creates a mix of two points of view in the article.
And of course, everytime the magazine is released, we are so proud that we buy a bunch of them.
(Even if we don’t know what to do with 7 copies afterwards!)
